So I decided to purchase a new bicycle for getting around in D.C. I've seen tons of bicyclists while in NYC, and after hearing about more and more problems with the DC Metro, I thought it was about time I take my transportation into my own hands. The more you ride public transportation, the more you get fed up, which is what is happening for me.
So here it is. I ordered this Windsor Oxford bike from bikesdirect.com. It came in a timely fashion-within a week, and my father, who is a mechanic, was able to assemble it with almost no problems. It is gorgeous, and adult sized-unlike the bike I have had in DC. So here are some photos, and anyone interested in getting the bike, feel free to ask me questions. It rides very nice, and shifts nice. Haven't really used it much yet, so can't report back on the wear and tare. The basket was added seperate
Nexus gears, seat with D2, and Kenda tires
